Pole Mountain (Vedauwoo)

Pole Mountain, part of the Sherman Mountains, is an outdoor playground along Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming. The mountain has a vast network of ski trails that are used by hikers and mountain bikers during the summer months.

The Vedauwoo area (pronounced vee-da-voo) delights rock climbers, photographers, and picnickers. Vedauwoo includes a number of scenic brooks and beaver ponds that are surrounded by massive piles of granite boulders and outcrops.

The entire Pole Mountain area is all about being discovered. Whether you are looking to rock climb, picnic, walk, jog, or shoot a few frames of film, the dozens of unofficial trails are bound to lead you to an ideal destination.
